A Rich History And Many Valuable Relics

Viem Xa Village boasts a history that spans over 2,000 years, with numerous historical relics that have been preserved to this day. One of these is Cung Temple, which includes Cung Shrine and Tien Well (Fairy Well). Situated at the front of the village, right at the foot of Kim Son Mountain, these relics offer a glimpse into the village’s ancient past. However, the most attractive and famous relic in Viem Xa Village is Vua Ba Temple. This is where Duc Vua Ba, the creator of Quan Ho, is worshipped. Though not grand in size, Vua Ba Temple serves as a cultural center for the village, hosting traditional activities that showcase the essence of not only Viem Xa but also the entire Quan Ho area.

Festivities That Capture the Spirit of Quan Ho

Every year, on February 6th and 7th according to the Lunar Calendar, the villagers of Viem Xa come together to celebrate a special festival at Vua Ba Temple. This vibrant event is dedicated to worshipping and honoring the merit of Duc Vua Ba, while also providing a joyous and unforgettable experience for the local community. One of the distinct features of this festival is its close connection to Quan Ho. Visitors can witness the beauty of Quan Ho through singing competitions, performances, and rituals paying homage to the creators of this unique folk music genre. It can be said that the Duc Vua Ba Temple festival is the largest and most lively Quan Ho event in all of Vietnam.
