  4. Explore the Enchanting Moc Chau District

Are you ready for an adrenaline-pumping adventure? Look no further than Vietnam’s latest tourist attraction – the world’s longest glass-bottomed bridge! Situated in the breathtaking Moc Chau district of Son La Province, this record-breaking structure is guaranteed to leave you awe-inspired.

A Record-Breaking Marvel

Imagine walking across a deep abyss, suspended above a lush forest. Vietnam’s newest glass-bottomed bridge, named Bach Long (meaning ‘White Dragon’), offers thrill-seeking tourists the opportunity to experience this exhilarating feat. With its recent certification by the Guinness World Records, the bridge has surpassed China’s previous record-holder and earned its rightful place in history.

Going to Great Lengths to Attract Visitors

Spanning an impressive length of 633 meters (2,073 feet) and towering 150 meters (492 feet) above the forest floor, Bach Long Bridge is a true engineering marvel. Its 2.5-meter-wide walkway stretches across a gorge between two peaks, offering panoramic views that immerse visitors in the surrounding nature. Made from tempered glass imported from France, this transparent marvel can accommodate up to 450 people at a time.

Glen Pollard, a representative from Guinness World Records, commended the bridge’s spectacular design and praised the seamless integration with the natural environment. He described it as “an amazing project” that showcases the best of engineering and nature.

Safety First

Rest assured, safety is a top priority when traversing the Bach Long Bridge. Constructed according to rigorous international standards, the bridge’s bottom consists of three layers of reinforced glass, each 40 millimeters thick. To test its strength, an SUV was even driven across the bridge before opening it to the public – and everything remained intact. So, if you’ve got the guts, it’s time to take the plunge!

For those who need a little extra reassurance, there’s no need to worry. The glass frame on each side of the walkway provides a small white strip that can be used for support while enjoying the breathtaking views. Take your time to savor every moment and soak in the lush scenery.

Explore the Enchanting Moc Chau District

While the glass-bottomed bridge is undoubtedly a highlight, the Moc Chau district offers much more to explore. Known for its cool climate, this enchanting region is home to pine forests, vast tea plantations, and captivating hill tribe villages. Venture to vantage points such as Pha Luong and Ta Xua for breathtaking hikes, visit the stunning Dai Yem waterfall, or witness the blooming flower fields between February and March.
