The best time to visit Sun World Halong Complex is from May to September when the weather is pleasant, and you can enjoy all the games and activities without any interruptions. However, please note that on Saturdays and Sundays during May, June, and July, there is an additional charge of 50,000 VND for entrance tickets to Dragon Park, Typhoon Park, and the combo. Keep in mind that this is the peak season, so expect a higher number of domestic travelers during the summer school holidays. During the winter months from October to April, the Typhoon Water Park is closed for maintenance.

Getting to Sun World Halong Complex from Hanoi is now more convenient with daily buses running from My Dinh Bus Station to Bai Chay Bus Station and Halong City on the new Hanoi – Halong highway. From My Dinh bus station, you can take buses to Mong Cai, Cua Ong, Bai Chay, Cam Pha, or Halong. Ticket prices range from 80,000 VND to 120,000 VND, depending on the type of transportation.
