Legend has it that she was once Princess Quynh Hoa, the beloved daughter of the Jade Emperor in heaven. One fateful day, Phung Khac Khoan, also known as Trang Bung, encountered her in her humble abode during a boat trip. They quickly formed a close bond and spent their days together, writing poetry and admiring the natural beauty of the lake. However, Princess Lieu Hanh’s time in Tay Ho was short-lived. When Phung Khac Khoan returned after a trip to the imperial city of Hue, she was nowhere to be found. To ease his longing for her, he and the locals established a temple in her honor, marking the birth of Phu Tay Ho as it stands today. The temple is now under the management of Tay Ho government.
