How to Get to Ba Be National Park
As one of the more remote destinations in northern Vietnam, Ba Be is best reached by shuttle bus or motorbike.
By Shuttle Bus
From Hanoi or other northern provinces, you can easily find daily tourist shuttles to Ba Be National Park. Departing from My Dinh bus station, the Thuong Nga bus takes you directly to the park entrance. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Bac Kan and then hire a motorbike for the final 16km to Ba Be. There are also bus routes from Lao Cai (near Sapa) to Ba Be.
By Motorbike
Although it requires a longer journey of approximately 6 hours, traveling by motorbike offers an unparalleled opportunity to admire the natural beauty of the region. Following National Highway 3 (QL3) from Soc Son (Hanoi) to Ba Be, you’ll encounter a range of scenic landscapes, from urban roads to rural trails.
